Automatic translation

Do your employees speak different languages? Then the ‘automatic translation’ feature will be very useful. With automatic translation, you can create the microlearning in a base language of your choice (e.g., Dutch). During distribution via SMS and/or email, the microlearning will automatically be translated from the base language to the participant’s set language.

How Does This Work in Practice?

When creating a project, set the base language, in this case, Dutch:

Before distributing the microlearning, first check that all participants have been added with the correct language. You can do this via Settings > Participants.

You will now see an overview of all participants. The languages are displayed on the right side.

Are the languages incorrect? Click on the pencil icon to edit the participant’s details.

Previewing in Another Language

You can easily preview a page or the entire microlearning in another language. When previewing a page, you’ll see the language in which the microlearning was created at the top right.

Click the arrow to select a different language. It will look like this:

Distributing

You can now distribute the microlearning as you normally would, via a QR code, email, or SMS. The microlearning will automatically be translated into the participant’s language.

Note:

  • To ensure emails and certificates are sent in the correct language, you need to create the email and certificate templates in the appropriate language once. This is done in Settings under Layouts.
  • The automatic translation feature currently only translates text fragments, not audio files.
